A Big House On A Small 1,800 sq.ft Plot in Bengaluru (Home Tour).

  • Built on a small plot, Brick Little House creatively uses the available space to create a home that is refreshingly unique. With a focus on fostering a harmonious connection between the living spaces and the garden at the back, the remaining spaces are all seamlessly tucked out of the way, opening up the plan strategically. The design incorporates split levels on the upper floors to reduce the overall volume of the building.
    The garden, which occupies one-fourth of the plot, provides a serene oasis, complemented by the eucalyptus plantation that forms the backdrop of the plot. Tying it together is the facade, which showcases a playful brick screen, interiors, which continue to feature exposed brick, and leather-finished Kota stone.
    To download the full PDF eBook of Brick Little House in Bengaluru with floor plans, materials used, construction techniques and so much more, please visit:
    www.buildofy.com/projects/bri...
    The table-moulded brick facade, the efficient planning of the spaces, the interconnectivity of the rooms and the landscape, and the mutually overlooking levels are highlights worth a second look at.
    In the walkthrough of the home, the architect unravels the philosophy behind the contemporary and rustic design elements, the making of the warm and serene atmosphere in the spaces and the intelligent distribution of spaces for achieving a voluminously light mass.

    Scientific problem. Such a big eucalyptus plantation will dry out a massive chunk of region near them. Eucalyptus sucks the water out of the ground like it's nothing. Not only the people living in this area will have to deal with lack of ground water issues but also issues of soil nutrient breakdown and ground weakening. Hard Remedy: Remove these eucalyptus trees(sad part) and replace them with other trees that can provide better environmental control and water retention within the soil. Short term remedies will resolve long term devastating issues. Other than that the house looks good but it is in no way "small" for most of us folks.

    • @anubhawchoudhary4750
      @anubhawchoudhary4750 7 месяцев назад +1

      I don't think this part of Bengaluru would be dependent on ground water anyway.

      @wfhutcjo59975gidajl 7 месяцев назад +4

      @@anubhawchoudhary4750 Think long term brother. Fresh water scarcity is rapidly increasing all over the world. India too is facing this crisis in many states. Not at the level that would worry generations now. But think 40-50 years ahead or maybe a whole century ahead. If things go right then it's all good. If not then plantation techniques need to evolve now. Hopefully we are able to save soil by that time. Some eucalyptus okay. A whole lot will be a problem. Good soil + good groundwater levels will be great for all.

    The success of this project is due to the fact that it doesn't look like a small plot. Looks airy and spacious, very clever design incorporating the copious light and greenery from the surrounding eucalyptus plantation. Love the furniture, colour schemes and the styling of the house. Super classy, minimalistic and chic at the same time. The brick cladding on the highlight wall along with the solid wooden furniture is a quintessential match made in heaven. Very smart architect and very lucky owners. Wishing them all happiness in this lovely abode.
    What would be the all inclusive cost ( land + design+ build+ furniture) is it doable within 2 crores or am I being too unrealistic 😂

    • @AnkitKumar-tp8hc

      Mostly the land itself will cost you min 3Cr. And for the construction, it can cost you close to 1.5 to 2Cr (with interiors and furniture) shown in the above video.

    Nice industrial design. The choice of neutral colour is very good. If they had used wood , it would have added luxurious feel and elevated living experience. Koi pond would add to the beauty of the lush green garden.
    It is unclear whether the decision not to use wood is conscious design choice or due to budget constraints.
    Lift is must , well they do have space to consider is future.

    This looks good stay for few days but trust me, they will regret it in future. What if those trees in the backside are cut and a new building comes up, you can't build a house because of other area which is not in your control. Also, no room till second floor, are you kidding? How will elders live in this house? And since there are a lot of up-down movement needed to eat, TV, sleep, rest, etc., having no lift is a big pain. That's why I said, they will regret it in a few years.
